PUSSEIDON & TRITON, FELINE GREETERS

As an all black adult cat, Pusseidon waited at the humane society for several months. Since 1996 he has been ruling the roost at WBPH. Not every cat has the purrsonality to make it as an office cat. One cat who auditioned kept hissing and batting the dogs. (That cat found a home with Dr.Simmons, where he still bats the dogs) However, Pusseidon seems to have truly found his niche as a Vet Hospital Cat. He lives at the hospital all the time. He enjoys visiting with clients, supervising patients, “helping” the receptionist type and of course sleeping (he is a cat after all). Occasionally he is called upon to donate blood to a sick feline patient. If you come by and don’t see Pusseidon, he may be napping in the office upstairs! He always likes to find a sunny spot. Unlike the rest of the staff, Pusseidon graciously allowed us to use his photo on this page.

TRITON joined our feline staff in 2005. His name is derived from Greek mythology and means "son of Poseidon".  He is still adjusting to his new role and responsibilities.  He is learning how to be polite with our canine guests and not to eat the food for sale!  Pusseidon has been enjoying his new playmate.  You'll often find Triton lounging on the front desk or on Dr. Resnick's lap!
